Festival of Brass and Voices 2012 at Royal Albert Hall
The choir will be joining other male voice and ladies choirs at this event to be held on Sat 3 November 2012 at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Festival of Brass and Voices 2012 is in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Two of the country's finest brass bands will also feature - the Cory Band and The Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
This is a prestige event and a DVD of the performance will be produced.
On Sunday 30th September, 26 members of the choir travelled by Harry Shaw coach to Swindon, to join 400 other choristers in a rehearsal for the event. The rehearsal was held in The Great Western Hall, which is situated in the Great Western Railway Museum Swindon. The choice of venue for this rehearsal was inspired, our old friend Isombard Kingdom Brunel would never have dreamed that one day his railway works would echo to the sound of the Hallelujah Chorus and Rule Britannia sung by 400 voices, it was a very interesting day and we now look forward to the main event in London.
