Welcome to the first of our Newsletters.
The idea behind this newsletter is to keep us all better informed about what is happening in the choir. Any member who has an idea for the newsletter should submit it to a Committee member. We will be publishing this on our Website, by Email, and in printed format. So get the news flowing into us, the more we have the better it will be.
JOHN WHITE'S WEDDING 4th JUNE 2011 ST MARY'S HALL COVENTRY
John tells us that his plans are all made and we have been invited to sing to his assembled guests after the meal at 7.30pm. So let's all give John a rousing send off. John has invited us to join him for a drink - a most convivial touch!
Cardiff Weekend 5th and 6th November 2011
We have spoken to the organisers and they would welcome us again this year. They have advised us that final details will be available later this month and that the music will be virtually the same as last year. As we all spent many happy hours learning the music last year and getting our tongues around the Welsh language we should be able to bring the items up to speed fairly quickly this year. When we were singing the Welsh items surrounded by native speaking Welshmen our efforts provided some comedy moments but they were all very gracious in complimenting our efforts. We have tried to take into account the feelings of choir members who attended last year's concert. In order to keep costs reasonable we are proposing a one night stay at the same hotel as last year. As soon as we hear from the organisers we will be able to advise everyone of prices and arrangements.

Jumpers & Ties
We have taken choir members feelings into account and are in the process of obtaining further quotes. We should be able to report back to the choir in a few weeks.
Bryan Sapwell
Bryan, a long standing member of the choir is experiencing health problems at the moment and is undergoing some unpleasant treatment. We wish him well and will keep in touch with him and Frances over the coming months.
